Firefox for Mobile, ‘Fennec’

Finally, Mozilla is releasing Firefox for mobile, although it’s a bit too late. it’s the first Mozilla’s browser for phones, codename Fennec. It include Firefox 3’s browsing engine and will become available for Windows Mobile as well as Linux phones worldwide at the end of the year.
Fennec’s desined to give a complete, rich browsing experience using the same browsing engine that powers the desktop versions. it’s much like Safari on the iPhone, but with much broader compatibility with the Web and the industry-leading security and performance in Firefox 3. The Fennec also support Firefox add-ons.
The Fennec and firefox desktop version have a few things in common. In Firefox 3, there is a new feature called the Awesome Bar. When users click on it, type whatever occurs to them, and the page will show up. the Awesome Bar experience will be available for mobile phones as well. The new browser also come with a small database engine in Firefox 3 called SQLite that’s going to come to the phone as well
