Samsung Introduces New Environment Friendly Phone

Samsung has officially presented its latest environment-friendly mobile handset, the Samsung E200 Eco at the OR @ S (Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung) in Beijing.

The 9.9mm slim bar E200 is re-launched with a new name, ‘Samsung E200 Eco.’ The phone is made frommore substantial materials for the environment. Its case is made from ‘bio-plastic,’ which contains natural plant-based materials extracted from plant.

In addition to the presentation of E200, Samsung took the opportunity to talk about its first eco phones: Samsung F268and Samsung W510.

Samsung F268 is the first BFR / PVC free mobile phone. The handset as well as all the accessories including charger and headset do not contain any BFRs(Brominated Flame Retardant) or PVC. even, it has an alarm function to encourage users to unplug their charger when the devices are fully charged. The product follows the Energy Star requirements too.

Samsung W510 is Samsung’s first mobile phone with ‘bio-plastic’ made from natural materials extracted from corn. During W510 production, Samsung did not use any heavy metals, such as Mercury, Cadmium and Lead.
