USB Train Tickets for French Passengers

If you’re a regular train passenger, you must be get used to following inline process to buy a ticket, French public transport company SCNF is to test a way to make this process easier for the passengers.

This system is adopting Weneo Smart ID, a USB card which enables the passenger to pay a ticket before he or she arrives at the station. The users need only plug the USB card on their computer, and he or she can pay their tickets in advance online, withdrawing funds from their own bank account. the price will be deducted from the latter through RFID reader or a coach with a tool pocket.

So far, this Weneo Smart ID program is to trial, as is the SCNF try passengers in 1000 to the present. If it is successful, they fully intend to apply it to all customers by 2010.
