Apple Brick

The mysterious “brick” rumor regarding the new MacBook models has floating around for quite some time now. Recently 9to5Mac, claimed that it relates to a new method of crafting laptop casing out of solid bricks aluminium. The new process described to be using a laser-guided water jet capable of forming a seamless MacBook from a solid block of metal, requiring no screws or bends that can weaken the material and total weight reduction.

The source suggests that Apple to build its own plant to produce the hardware, instead of outsourcing to one of the usual manufacturers, which would give them more flexibility to modify the design, full control over the process and cost, and even more capacity for new devices to keep it convidental until the official release.

We are currently awaiting an announcement at an Apple MacBook event on October 14, although the company remains refuse to say anything about whether such a launch is scheduled
