Glen Martin’s jetpack prototype at the annual air show in Oshkosh
At the Annual air show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, flying enthusiasts and fans could see the first public show of the latest jetpack. Glenn Martin is the man behind the jetpack, he came from New Zealand who’s trying to make his child dreams about flying come true. Now, when the flying gadget is considered safe, it is going to be prepared to be put up for sale. Most likely that it will happen next year.

Don’t even think about science fiction-like of jetpacks. In fact the Glenn Martin’s invention isn’t pretty a jetpack to be straight. It doesn’t have a jet engine. This ‘jet device’ is powered a little differently. that is to say it is a very common internal combustion engine. Carrying power is as a result of two large superchargers, or simply fans, drove by the above-named engine. Fully set jetpack, lets call it so anyway, weights approximately 110 kilograms. The thrust comes from two fans overall is about 600 pounds or 270 kilograms. To increase stability and safety, a centre of mass is positioned as low next to the fans as possible. The jetpack is also got a shock absorbers for less vibration and smoother landing plus a small parachute just in case.

Video Game Beijing 2008 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC
I was impressed by the appearance of the game - particularly the character frighteningly detailed models (these are a little ‘less splendid on PS3, thanks to a bad case of the jaggies, but the reduced load times do to contribute to it). Unfortunately, it seems that designers were equally impressed by their work, like the rest explains the multiple, unnecessary shots in the first scene of each event and attempt?
Group events, such obstacles and short events like discus are much easier to manage on-line. But even so, I suspect that most players will stick to play alone, the way they work, how the rankings in training or construction of a well-rounded Olympic team in standby mode. Both are very satisfactory. Yes, of course - Beijing can not be golden quality in everything, but it is the best game we had Olympics since, well … probably ever.
