HP mini 1000

though the HP 2133 Mininote was presented as one of the most interesting in terms of ultraportable, in our tests we left a bittersweet taste. But HP is still working in this field and we shall soon see the HP Mini 1000.

No official details yet, this new model have already been leaked some of its specs, such as your 10 inches display, to change the aluminum case for the plastic, and a 2.5 cm thickness, all with a price of $ 400.

There are several things that should improve this HP 1000 Mini than its predecessor, such as the battery, of which power was too low. It remains to be seen if HP moves like the rest of the market and betting Atom processor or by following with the VIA incorporated in 2133, although they will most likely switch to Intel.

It is expected that during this week HP will officially present this new HP model

The Upcoming Epson Netbook

The Upcoming Epson Netbook

Epson has been slow to start in the rush of Netbook War, but now they are beginning to respond, probably due to lower sales of mobile phones in Japan. And almost 1 year after Toshiba, ASUS, NEC and Epson now offer their own Netbook

Instead of Windows Vista, the notebook runs on XP and there is still no Linux version and their prices are more expensive than their counterparts form the US or Europe. It seems that Epson offers a much less interesting and nothing special on their upcoming Netbook

So far, this is all we know about this upcoming Netbook, the Mininote:

  • ATOM N270 (1.60GHz)
  • WSVGA Screen 10.2 “WSVGA (1024 x 600)
  • XP Home SP3
  • 945GSE Video Express Chipset
  • 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM
  • 160GB SATA HDD @ 5400rpm
  • Lan and WiFi b / g

The epson’s Netbook will be available in Japan in late November

LG S210, Too Small for a Laptop, Too Big for a Netbook

Posted by Marsha 19 October, 2008 (0) Comment
LG S210

LG S210

The LG S210 has a 12-inch screen which is quite small as a laptop, but it’s weighing in at 2.2 pounds which is pretty light to be called as a netbook, so it’ll kind of hard to categorize.

Featuring a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, an impressive 4GB of RAM and an ExpressCard slot, the S210 also sports some specs that stand out like dual eSATA/USB port, a NVIDIA graphics chip, an HDMI-out and more.

Currently we have no idea how the LG S210will cost, which will definitely be a different than any other laptops in the market.
