Multitouch
technology could be be the next big thing as far as computer interface go. and the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, or HIIT recently announced a new 3D version of its multitouch LCD display called CityWall.

CityWall is an interactive multitouch project open to public experimentation at the Lasipalatsi medical center in Helsinki, Finland. Developed by the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, CityWall currently offers passers-by a 3D GUI to explore the benefits and nuisances of urban nature. It’s able to recognize an unlimited number of fingers touching the screen and uniquely identify them.

Similar to other multitouch screens we’ve seen, CityWall uses a a rear-projection system involving multiple cameras, projectors, and infrared sensors. It presumably tracks reflected infrared light triggered by fingers touching the display screen, as seen in the NORTD DIY multitouch kit

Will Laptop be as Hot as the Sun ?

Laptops can be hazardous. It’s associated with more rapid speed of a laptop, the more heat a laptop will be. This statement was issued from the researchers concerned with the development of laptops nowadays.

Fortunately the researchers does not stay silent to see the threatening fact. They are now striving to overcome the problem of excess heat with a laptop using nanoelectronics that can be expected to be a source of energy for the future generation computer.

The Research to solve the problems in the hot laptop begins with the re-examine the legal thermodynamics said that energy will flow from a hot place to a more cold, which in this case energy move between electronic components, to achieve the same temperature. This transfer process called thermal Equilibrium. Duo researchers Ghosh and Stan aims to solve puzzles transfer heat energy that is often also called Maxwell’s Demon.
